Description: Students
should only plan to enroll in one subject. Classes will begin on July
7 and run until July 31. Classes meet Monday through Thursday
from 8:00 a.m. until Noon. Classes do not meet on Friday.
These are credit recovery classes for students who have previously
taken an identical course but failed it and need to make up 1/2 credit for graduation.
Important:
These classes could be
cancelled if enough students do not enroll. Please register early.
We will attempt to notify registrants by telephone before the first day of
class if the class needs to be cancelled because of insufficient
enrollment. Anyone who paid their tuition will receive a full refund.
Grades: Students who
complete all class expectations will receive a Pass (P). Final
grade transmittals will be sent to each student's high school
registrar by September 1. Students who do not pass the class will
receive an F. Class work
must be finished by the last day of class. NO LETTER GRADES ARE
AWARDED DURING SUMMER SCHOOL OTHER THAN P OR F.
Previous grade: Refer to
your high school course catalog for specific information regarding
how previous grades will be recorded.
Credit: Students can
earn .5 credit for successful completion of a class.
Requirements: Regular attendance,
homework completion and compliance with the summer school code of
conduct are expectations for all students.
Time: Classes will be held
from 8:00 AM until Noon.
Dates: July 7 through July 31.
Monday through Thursday only.
Location: Classes are
held at Henderson Bay High School, 8402 Skansie, Gig Harbor.
Transportation:
Limited transportation services will be provided this summer.

Campus: Henderson Bay is a
closed campus. Students are expected to remain on school grounds
during school hours. All guests must report to the office.
Non-student guests and visitors (with the exception of
parent/guardian) will not be allowed in
classrooms and may not remain on campus. The parking lot and
surrounding area is off limits to individuals who are not enrolled
in summer school classes and will be asked to leave.
Food and beverages:
Vending machines are available at Henderson Bay or students may
bring their own snack for the mid-morning break.

available from school counselors or can be downloaded.
